Dry Rub for Ribs or Pork

This rub is excellent for seasoning ribs before you cook them in an Instant Pot or or to rub on before you bake in a regular oven. Will complement any BBQ sauce added after cooking.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Note: Any of the above ingredients can be adjusted to your taste. If I want it sweeter, I will increase the brown sugar. If I want more of a bite to it, I’ll increase the cayenne pepper or add a bit of chili powder.

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Using the back of a wooden spoon, rub until most of the lumps are gone.
  3. Store in a sealed container until ready to use.
