Salted Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup packed, light brown sugar
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp sea salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream (35%)
  • 1/4 cup milk (2%)
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients in a non-stick saucepan.
  2. Whisk constantly over low to med-low heat for approximately 6 to 9 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Sauce can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days or in refrigerator for 3 weeks.
  5. When serving from fridge, either let come to room temperature and stir or heat for a few seconds in the microwave, stir and repeat if necessary.
