Fudge Brownies
Moist and chewy Fudge Brownies. Make them for a snack, a pot luck or even a party. They will be a hit!
Equipment
- 8 x 8 inch square pan
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter or margarine
- 2 squares melted and cooled unsweetened chocolate (2 x 1 oz squares)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup walnuts (optional)
- assorted toppings: shredded coconut, chocolate frosting, whipped cream, shaved chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan and set aside.
- Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan. Remove from heat.
- Stir in sugar.
- Blend in eggs, one at a time.
- Add vanilla.
- Stir in flour and walnuts.
- Pour into the prepared baking pan.Bake for 23 minutes for moist, chewy brownies. Bake for 30 minutes for cake like brownies.
- Cool and cut into squares. Makes 16.
- Serve plain or top with a favorite topping (or several of them!).
Notes
Be careful not to over cook!
