Chocolate Cake
This is my absolute favorite chocolate cake recipe. It's moist and light and so easy to make. Top it with a home-made chocolate frosting for an amazing cake experience.

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 cups White sugar
- ¾ cup Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Vegetable or Canola oil
- 1 cup 2% Milk
- 2 Eggs lightly beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Boiling water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9″ round cake pans.
In a large bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients until they are well blended.
Add in the oil, milk eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
Slowly pour in the boiling water, and beat until combined. The batter should be thin.
Pour batter evenly between the two pans.
Bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Cakes will be done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean and dry.
Cool in pans for 5 minutes on cooling rack and then remove from pans and let sit on cooling racks until completely cool.
Add frosting and decorations of your choice.
